Nothing is better
nor as sweet as
strawberry shortcake.
Its sugary coating
covers my tongue
with succulent flavors
while its slices of fruit
explode in a
wholesome taste
inside my mouth
and the cake
crumbles into
a hundred pieces
all over my face.
