A sickness

One

then two

then three again.

Desperation

eyes bulging

throat expanding then

constricting.

Constriction precedes frustration.

The minutes brace against my mind

I have to pull and grunt, and scream

until they pass.

Tears stream, my nose runs down below me.

and then stubborn gives way to release

I feel much better, for now.
