Living without the weight against me Friends know I cant They don’t know I can’t sleep without It doesn’t have to be yours I don’t want it to be yours But the weight was comforting Even when it bore on my shoulders Even when it became shackles on my ankles I was comforted in the pain because it was pain I knew But now the bolts loosen less And the weight presses heavy My bones can only compress so much My organs and blood are close to bursting The weight comforted me
