how do you focus on anything
when you are in pain
and the reason
is sitting in front of you
glancing at their watch
keeping a close eye on the moment
you shift in your seat
to smile at you
to say something that makes you smile
that blinks and and blushes and shyly looks away
that can change demeanor in seconds
that can pull you in and kiss you
and take you home
and make you feel loved
and play
and to radically change your life
how do you focus on anything
when the whole world is in front of you
careening and caressing your senses
tempting you to change your fate
calling to you, saying
love me
find me
run away
