And I Hope

And I hope

and I pray

to tell you someday

what’s on my mind.

Though I know

I can’t show

the way I feel

within my head,

upon my heart,

beneath my soul.

And I hope

and I pray

to be able someday

to say what’s on my mind.

So I rest

on my couch

floating back into time,

past alleyways

of  memories

which are weak

and perplexed,

but certain in direction.

And I hope;

Lord I pray

to let you know

you’re always on my mind...
