The Rainy Kiss

The steady, gray rain

drums the silence in my ears and

the sweet, cold drops caress my face

reminding me, again, how much

I wish you were here

to passionately kiss me until

the water turns to steam

rising from our melded skin and tangled limbs

as an offering of love to the gods

so they'll answer my prayers

of you.
