Then, you taste things. A bitter heart stayed close. A sour smile hid in pain. A sweet moment felt eternal. Then, you smell things. A perfume you once bought. A favorite scent on the wind. An essence of old memories. Then, you see things. A figure you recognize. A shadow you once knew. A history with future lost. And then, you feel things. The wind's cold touch. An ache in the chest. A deep sigh let out. Lastly, you hear things. A familiar sound. A familiar voice. A familiar laugh. And in the end, you let go. Not with anger, but with quiet grace. Not because you stopped loving, But because love asked for too much.

WHEN THE SENSES FADE
