The gentle waves eased their way towards the shore, knowing that their journey had ended Her footprints on the waters edge slowly disappearing, erased in the sands of time as she looked out from the sea The harbour light was shining, shimmering in the dark, as if waiting for that moment to guide her toward my outstretched arms as she waved and beckoned, " I'm here!" But the light slowly faded as she cried my name and I froze; I could go no further. She returned to the sea, one final look, lost to me forever.

Gone
The gentle waves eased their way towards the shore, knowing that their journey had ended Her footprints on the waters edge slowly disappearing, erased in the sands of time as she looked out from the sea The harbour light was shining, shimmering in the dark, as if waiting for that moment to guide her toward my outstretched arms as she waved and beckoned, " I'm here!" But the light slowly faded as she cried my name and I froze; I could go no further. She returned to the sea, one final look, lost to me forever.
