Loud grunting feet squeak against the floor side to side, looking for an opening Trying to hit the center of your racket pinpoint accuracy on the corner of the court A good shot makes you want more and more The competitiveness runs through your veins Even through the tiredness, you keep playing Time slows down when focusing on every point Slice, top spin, short, long, high, low, soft, hard The cramping in your calves tells you to stop But the winning is all you desire these days Teammates become obsolete; it’s all on you Your strings are snapping after you serve The net’s a player blocking your hit Making it even harder to hit low Your Grip begins to slip Holding tighter Hit after hit Showing Passion Courage Growth Patience Fearless Sturdy Devout Resilience
