Living life with an altered mind Seeing reality from blurry eyes Every day seems shorter, I thought I was fine Where is the time? When I got a hold of that **** I said it'd all be fine That's before I lived life with an altered mind I said it won't become a habit That's really not my kind I just didn't see it coming Some might call me blind It was all right there, perfect for you to see Every action, every method, led to what I'd be Coming to the realization, I ******* hate sober me Rock bottom hit harder, than I could have seen It's a parasitic being that will eat you alive It burrows deep inside you, something I just couldn't find And you need to let it go, but can't leave it behind Every thought, every judgement, all becomes intertwined Living life with an altered mind Seeing reality from blurry eyes Every day seems shorter, I thought I was fine Where is the time?
