I have found that the gift and flow of poetry often requires a fierce love and hunger for... "truth"/ But truth or truths--especially hard truths and socially "unpalatable" truths
must be spoken at the right time & at the right place.
And not unlike the rope trick of the ancients fakirs/ pure poetic truth is born of the fire of experience which rises higher & higher through time.
Pure poetic truth is created and maintained by keeping "truths" in context by often sandblasting untruths and half-truths from the mind and spirit.
Pure poetic truth is an art/ not of cleaver deceit but enlightenment/ which not only sets the poet free from fallacy and deceit/ but can genuinely aid in setting the reader free if they are truly
hungering and thirsting for inner peace and freedom/
where true freedom and peace begins but cannot grow outward until we plant the seeds and tend what we grow.
