A hello or goodbye
Or tell someone their special
Just give it a try
It can make a person smile
It can make a person's day
You just have to try it
And trust the words I say
Ask someone their name
Ask them how they've been
Show a friendly smile
And I'm sure they'll start to grin
Friendships are important
Happiness is too
And it can all start
With a simple "how are you"
And if you don't believe me
The next time you are out
Flash a simple smile
