Kept intentions, bound by your will alone,
caused upon others, second to your own,
the world itself mourns, yet a voice warns,
leave the past for the future it forms.
Place that love as it has been gifted,
feel those boundaries held once lifted,
all need to be set free, as sailing birds,
to resist the urge that choke on your words.
Fading in the dark by acts of hate unspoken,
a nearing arrival left beside, unbroken,
refusing, unwilling, to leave His hand untaken,
if not by the hour, when will we awaken?
Release the spirit; reach for what you seek,
thereupon, so let that reverence speak,
and gratitude unfold — into life, into deeds,
blown into your soul, as compassion breathes.
