When you glance at me with those big brown eyes, Something inside of me slowly dies every time, Feelings of fear, anxiety and wanting to run away, No I cant, internal push pull, tug-of-war, For I need those emotions to stay, They are swimming on the shoreline, docking on the bay, They have been a part of me for so very long, Without them I am scared , a shadow covering my soul, But yet I’m longing, for a place in you to call my home.
