cool down

cool down:

to lose your warmth,

to settle slowly,

to seep away.

my thoughts have cooled,

awaiting you.

my heart has been chilled,

anticipating your arrival.

the blankets are bone chilling cold,

from restless nights,

from your empty presence (and mine as well)

from no one to feel its warmth.

and i think its painful to deliberate,

that its the identical case with me.

after all,

when nothing is there to feel an object's warmth,

perhaps there is none any longer.
