Blue Moon

Never in my life did I expect to see

A blue moon shine its light on me

Or wish upon a star and hope to believe

That star would twinkle, then fall for me

Only in my thoughts did I fantasize

Of a secret night for you and I

Until fate chose to let me see

Life isn’t always how you expect it to be

Little could I know

But soon came to see

Memories would be better

Than fantasies

Now when I begin to dream of you

Instead I remember the dream that came true
