If this heart breaks, let it break in light, For shattered stars still decorate the night. If these tears fall, let the rivers flow, The deepest love is born from deepest woe. If this soul burns, let the ashes rise, Like silent prayers escaping to the skies. If time departs and leaves the clocks undone, I’ll count my years by moments with the sun. Your name still echoes through abandoned halls, Like rain that answers ancient canyon walls. And every wound you carved became a door, To rooms inside my spirit unexplored. I wore your memory like winter wears snow, A quiet grief the wandering winds all know. The moon became a mirror of your face, The dark became a shelter for your trace. If love is ruin, let me fall apart, A thousand storms still bloom inside the heart. For even dust remembers how to shine, Once it has touched a love so close divine

Buried Souls, Endless Obsession
