Wishing

Fragments of conversation float back

Into my memory then gone once more

Your voice, echoing across the gap

That opened between you and I

The sadness breaking through

As your words touch me again

The tenderness that soaks me

Pours itself through me

Pushing open those doors

That maybe are better left shut

To hold back all the loneliness

This space inside me holds tight

Time is all that's left to me

In this world of dreams

How I wish these hours away

How I wish they would end
