im not saying i miss you

you were just always there
not as a friend or lover
but as someone who would help me forget

except youve cut the ties
and my subconscious is still flailing for the ropes that you dangle
the big question i guess im asking is
did you use me?
or did i use you?
because in the beginning i called the shots
