endless suffering —disguised as law
finding peace within enemies
again and again — continuous fraud
how can one live
knowing evil lives close
wearing 'kind' faces
souls like ghosts
still we pretend —
as if hope remains
but our freedom's
are just a brand name
racists in power
painting hate as pride
rapists rewriting stories
so they can continue to shine
they sell fear to the people
and call it "the news"
we vote between monsters
and pretend we can choose
