You are eternally out of my grasp Your intense heart-stirring kisses can be savoured only in dreams In kingdoms made from sheer illusion Where flowers bathe in waters of long-lost enchanted streams Where icy coldness is banished and newly-found hope thrives On everlasting elusive notions That continuously rule our short-lived lives You are the music maker And I the dreamer of dreams We both like to wander in far-off realms Where kings and queens ride majestic white unicorns On a remote and lonely beach Completely forgotten and out of anyone’s reach Your sweet melodious songs sound like psalms On a gloomy winter Sunday And my poetry is for the light-hearted and gay So why not come away with me? Why not hold my hand? Let’s take off on a wild audacious journey Let’s venture beyond the familiar spaces And the unknown shores Of this magnificent ethereal land And I will be forever spellbound Paving my way with you On soft and golden grains of sand
