The day has come to its end Time to lay down ones head Today's woes start to contend Vying for their place in bed Yesterday's worry creeps in Replays of a long gone event Soon the mind begins to spin As all ones worries ascends Contemplating conversations Quarreling with imaginations Duplicating narrations Conducting verbal castrations Childhood memories will haunt Work problems need debated Enemies sneak in and taunt Everything feels weighted Questions and what ifs formulate Enters the calender events There are bills to calculate A to-do list without dents Now to fight with oneself To quiet the inner voice To put worry on the shelf And think of things to rejoice

Trying to Sleep
I close my eyes and my brain wakes up
