They say that it's just a phase It'll fade in a couple of days But years have come and gone Listening to the haunting birdsong So beautiful they were, such a smile But they've been hiding it for a while All of the demons inside of my head "You're nothing, you're better off dead" Long sleeved t-shirts and a smile fake Make sure that nothing looks out of place How long before they begin to see cracks? Or maybe they don't think I'd ever do that? But believe me Mother, I tried my best You say I'm beautiful, I say beautifully depressed.

Beautifully Depressed
They say that it's just a phase It'll fade in a couple of days But years have come and gone Listening to the haunting birdsong So beautiful they were, such a smile But they've been hiding it for a while All of the demons inside of my head "You're nothing, you're better off dead" Long sleeved t-shirts and a smile fake Make sure that nothing looks out of place How long before they begin to see cracks? Or maybe they don't think I'd ever do that? But believe me Mother, I tried my best You say I'm beautiful, I say beautifully depressed.
