Sometimes a poem is written before it starts sometimes it ends before it is written My love found you before my poem. My soul was one with you before you knew it as i learnt to write it in to song Sometimes a poem writes itself Before a single word is known Sometimes it ends before it breathes Like a seed already sown My love found you in the dark Before my pen could trace your name My soul was dancing in your heart Long before you felt the flame Sometime just before the start You were written in my art Love was living in my core You were mine, sometime before No need for pages, no need for rhyme We were written outside time I found you in a silent lore You were mine… Sometime just before My soul was one with you Before you ever knew The poem was always true… Sometime… just before
