I won’t run Not when the weight crushes in not when your eyes become locked doors no one else dares to knock upon I’ll stay in the storm, let it split the sky above me, let rain carve its rivers through my skin if it means you can breathe without watching the clouds You’re the ocean and I am the shore I will meet you where you crash, or where you sigh, never pulling you closer than you choose to be I am here Not to fix you but to walk beside you until your shadows learn my name and stop trying to scare me away I will love you like wind through trees patient in stillness wild in the breeze. Enough to lift you, enough to release never to break you, only to bring peace
