Yearning for real love, but stuck with a lack thereof. I don’t want a love that’s fleeting I don’t want a love that requires retreating I want a love that feels freeing And that’s not trapped within four walls and the ceiling. I want a love that’s accepting of me Not just trapped in unkempt sheets I want a love that’s deep and lasting Not built on the surface through empty action. I am not sure we know what the true meaning of love is anymore. Only encounters left at apartment doors. So, I will stay dreaming of such a love that I crave so much.

Hookup culture will always depress me.
