Grasping for more of me Breathless authority some do not earn what they hold Not one to bargain again So 1, 2, I'm in again History creased in the folds Bitter honeyed language Slathered soft to soothe the anguish Languishing slow beneath the sheets Feel familiar melodies Rhythms drumming into me Erasing who I was before Seeking locked doors

Behind locked doors
Grasping for more of me Breathless authority some do not earn what they hold Not one to bargain again So 1, 2, I'm in again History creased in the folds Bitter honeyed language Slathered soft to soothe the anguish Languishing slow beneath the sheets Feel familiar melodies Rhythms drumming into me Erasing who I was before Seeking locked doors
I started this poem six years ago and it deserved to finally get an ending.
