A thousand thoughts flit through my head
Faster and faster, unstoppably bold
Breaking me open, undisguised
Hiding in plain sight, behind my eyes
Billions of words buzzing on my tongue
Hardly held back from blurting aloud
Striking fiercely, lashing and painful
When instead they could flow, softly beautiful
Infinite wonders, revealed beneath my gazes
Darkly haunting, or gorgeously soothing
Broken, brilliant, brave, or falteringly desperate
Treasuring these is a gift that we have only requested
