Whiteness blocks your vision From the sky to the ground Snowflakes keep on falling You can't hear a sound Frost settles on the glass And when you rub it away, It crawls right back from the edges Icy daggers fall in place Steam blows from your mouth Icicles snap and crunch From their places on the house Far away is a grey haze Which is really only trees Bare branches stretching up While the twigs snap and freeze The peaceful calm makes you Want to stay here all night long But the cold tells you otherwise And pushes you along
