I often wrote poetry
to express the loneliness
of a love that wasn’t right
Now that I’m alone
I journal instead
just daily thoughts
without chasing depth
Maybe I’ll never want to write poems again
Maybe I just want to journal
out of a calm love that feels true
and share a gentler kind of depth with you.
