Hi there! So, how's your life these days? My life — it never stays in place, It's always moving, always on the go: Sometimes it's slow, sometimes it steals the show, And then it races wildly down the slope, The slalom crashes everything — no hope. A quiet life is just a dream we chase: We wonder what it holds for us ahead. The years fly by, each one a bird in space, And every year, the finish line has fled. More and more runners drop out from the race, They never see the finish line they bled. But that personal victory will taste so bitter: Beyond that certain line, there's only glitter Of sadness, sometimes poverty, the ache of being alone, And we'll regret the passing years we've known. But a wonderful time will come — to give the young the road, And start your own new climb — back up that heavy load.
