10/24
When I climbed, it got harder
As I saw the water cascading, the more I wanted to let go
As the tension peaked and my vision got grainy
The pressure to be like the trickling water increased
To fall and let down my guard
To just be free
But I couldn't accept defeat nor freedom
I could only hope for triumph
Freedom was selfish and defeat would ruin me
It would be the end of me
I was at the hardest part of my journey
But I was, also, almost to the top of Mt. Everest
