A song to my mom

I could be completely alone

don't want to deal with the world outside

I'm sitting down in the corner and crying...crying

You carry so much warmth in your heart

to blanket me from the coldness of my own mind

you are the home of my roots in hope

that I planted on Earth

Do you know what your worth?

There aren't many words that can express

how unconditional

the love you give I must be blessed

I must be so lucky

to be your blood, your family

I can never take it for granted

don't you know you're why I grow

into a better man

momma's love

The shelter and the truth of your words

leads me without fear into the night

protects me from myself when I'm lying...lying

A child becomes a foolish adult

but never forgets the grace of your love

I continue to rise above

because you never stopped believing

Momma I never stopped dreaming

There aren't many words that can express

how unconditional

the love you give I must be blessed

I must be so lucky

to be your blood, your family

I can never take it for granted

don't you know you're why I grow

into a better man

momma's love

Oh it's my turn

to sing a lullaby

to you

make us touch the sky

you gave me life

I can't deny
