There is light. I see the rays spread out Touching the dark particles Then broken, shattered in the grotto. There hope dies. There we die in the cave of the void. I digress. I lose my breath and cling to what. Where is the dream of hope. Despair. I tear up the lottery ticket, But will use the numbers again... and again. Is that hope? Forlorn and desperate I wait For a resurrection, A new light to pin such aspirations. I long for a spark to ignite the darkness, To dispel the abyss of dreams.
