The moon flows in and out The stars gather about To listen to the moon's call In rainbow rings And pale white shawl She speaks of the Pacific Reminding them of waves gone by She says that the Pacific Has no memory And they ask why... He waves his farewells And the white caps dance And he knows they'll be gone Once they awaken from their trance Then they vanish from the earth Like a candle burning out And the Pacific He forgets What he was thinking about.
