Ode to My Purple Shirt

my purple shirt

far too big for me

but you used to fit my mother perfectly

the rip in your shoulder doesn't bother me

it tells of what has been

and even though you cant say much

I feel safe inside your fabrics touch

as a fall asleep tonight

my purple shirt I grasp tight
