A Million Miles Away

It's finally over

There's nothing left for us here

The well is all dried up

No need to shed a single tear

It's time to move on

Just pack your bags and go away

I have never seen

Such a brighter day

The day you left

Was the day I was right

I didn't need you anymore

It was never worth the fight

Words were thrown

Around in the hallway

I thought

There was nothing left to say

I was wrong

There was much more

Than meets the eye

The lies, decit

The selfish goodbyes

I could never stand you

After you changed

Your mind was twisted

Mentally deranged

You are not

The person I fell for

I don't even want to look at you

There's too much on the floor

It time to sweep it

Right under the rug

Forget about you

All those selfish hugs

So here it is

I have never decided

To dedicate a poem

To you, the divided

Here it is

My last and final wave

Hopefully the waves take you under

And wash you a million miles away
