Arms wrap tight: My divine. Pushed away, By self taught lies. The stink of burning flesh; I climb the ropes, Wrapped round my neck. Let go... I could just fall to death. Around my throat, I pulled it close. I jumped from Heaven... Let it all go. I closed my eyes; Rain became my sight. Wept for me, As below I fly. The Earth beneath: An alien place, A world I'd thought to escape. You caught my rope, And held me firm. I watched it burn. Strength of will, You never lacked. My mistake, Burned your hands black. You stopped my fall, So I will climb: Back to Heaven, To face what was once mine. Saved by the hands I can never repay In kind. The same soft hands, Will never hold me near, Oh, my divine, oh, my dear.
