As the summer fades to grey I want you to love me. To be the fresh water after you brush your teeth each morning The doormat to welcome you home The watering can to help you grow. Me, say it one time and it is self fulfilling Say it again and again and the meanings near lost Add you. You and me. Me and you Until the day we fray like an old straw hat   Those words hold hands as I do you. I was a big tin bowl with a lot to hold waiting for the tink of a penny one came down as we became friends And one hundred more as we evolved to lovers. How I wish I could expand to hold all of the change youve brought into my life. Maybe I will
