how do you wait, ensilvered in the night, Lord of Stars and Angels, gods, kings, patiently - as though you have the Right to outlive Time and all her tired things? surely the emptiness of Hollow Space, as black as hearts whose love is dearly sold, should dull your shine and rob you of your grace till lonely human hearts grew sudden cold? even this hour i wake alone and think such thoughts as the bright Sun would somehow miss; without you i am the Anchor and i sink - i lift my face to moonbeam's silver kiss, the distant pull that keeps wandering strong towards Moon's still softly silent song.
