We were as one for ages now we’re not what happened then to us I know not what this thing came right between us then and there so ghastly for us both - do you still care? For we have loved and we still should so long together it is good. So many years so many days have we come to our parting ways? I cannot do a single thing. I’m lost, bereft - but wear my ring. I think of you and nothing more I wish I could walk through our door. An act in terror you must know Should not betray us, please don’t go Don’t let our shared life disappear We’ve been together every year For 34 near 35, I feel so numb no more alive. How could our love go oh so wrong? Is it true you will say: so long? Though you have thrown me from your life to me we are still man and wife. I do not want for you to go I need you and I love you so. I pledged to you until I die I can’t believe this is goodbye.
