santa came to see me and sat upon my bed
through his big white beard this is what he said
your letter came today i read it right away
its says that youve been good and cant wait for christmas day
i brought the thing you wanted what you asked me for
something you could keep and love for evermore
a lovely little puppy to keep you company
always by your side thats where he will be
a faithfull little friend to love you everyday
always by your side is where your friend will stay
