So time flew. Faster than we thought it ever could. Used to meet up for school every morning. Kept the others talking, anything but boring. Nothing mattered when we had each other. Stuck through storms together like jelly and peanut butter. Heartbreaks. Tears. They came, and they went. Even then— time was still well spent, if it meant, we were spending it together. When my head fell down, I had my girls around to spin me around, and turn my frown. I wouldn’t change a thing. Growing. Learning. Losing. Enduring. I watch you now with children of your own. Soulmates found. Apartments. Engagements. Dreams made from scratch, because you knew I had your back. Twenties tested, some things hurt so much we never digested. When using my feet was already too much, you kept a melody and a steady heartbeat. I never forget when all we had was a few cents and love as tight as a corset. Always, on top of the world when you and I were just a couple of girls. I hold you in high regard. No matter how the seasons change. Priorities differ. I could never be bitter about the way things sway because I am who you made me today.
