Ashes and dust make us up But even ashes cast beauty Amidst the reaching flames The remnant of what is left The former unrecognizable Beneath the embers and gray But you see it, What I could be If the shell were scraped And the inside reused Better than bitter Brighter in hue Worn from the weather But shiny and new

Better than Bitter
Ashes and dust make us up But even ashes cast beauty Amidst the reaching flames The remnant of what is left The former unrecognizable Beneath the embers and gray But you see it, What I could be If the shell were scraped And the inside reused Better than bitter Brighter in hue Worn from the weather But shiny and new
