It was our New York and just as soon as we had felt it felt it in our hearts and in our minds and firmly under our feet where we felt that it belonged it was gone and it became a mere memory something that would fade with time but would always glisten in the corner of my eye even now I turn to catch it desperate like a dog chasing it’s tail We are desperate souls desperate to return home © Kagel
