I am the rock that cracked the wave of your emotional instability Listened to you rant and rave pounded with your negativity I became the supportive piling that kept the currents at bay While thunder and lightning were striking and you were getting your way You were the hurricane that blew in testing my foundation looking for cracks, creating tension hoping for my submission Time after time I stood against the storm praying for calmer waters Soon it just became the norm and my patience started to falter My love eroded and washed away under the weight of your wrath Now my clouds are pink ,not grey and the eye of the storm's in my past

I Am The Rock
I am the rock that cracked the wave of your emotional instability Listened to you rant and rave pounded with your negativity I became the supportive piling that kept the currents at bay While thunder and lightning were striking and you were getting your way You were the hurricane that blew in testing my foundation looking for cracks, creating tension hoping for my submission Time after time I stood against the storm praying for calmer waters Soon it just became the norm and my patience started to falter My love eroded and washed away under the weight of your wrath Now my clouds are pink ,not grey and the eye of the storm's in my past
In a tumultuous relationship the wave pounding emotions of a power struggle are real and palpable. Don't give in and lose self-respect just because the seas get rough . Remain true to yourself, stay strong.
