I was there that night to watch you die And I giggled over your lifeless limbs; You had high hopes of seeing a light, But not for all of your sins. I laughed as you fought for breath; I asked, "Why do you struggle?" "Just accept your death." I stood there smirking at the nurse As she draped your face in white; Sadly for you, but not for me, You lost your battle for life. I watched your soul become exposed To the truth you see when you're dead. You stood there crying, shaking your head Staring at yourself all cold in the flesh. I remember your face when you saw me; I laughed..You were scared to death!! You looked at me and said, "Am I...am I really dead?" It's time for us to leave here On a journey that everyone takes; We will walk the corridors of your life And reveal your past mistakes. But know there's no forgiveness here And your tears won't mean a thing; The life you lived is over, now, It's time to pay for your sins. This is a list of lives you've hurt; And this is a list of your lies; This is a list of pain you've caused And the misery right through your life. Now I'm not here to hurt you; I am a collector of the ****** It's not my purpose to judge you; Your fate is out of my hands. Through this door you'll become the child Who was born to the world free of sin; Your naked flesh will be removed Showing the innocence within. Your screams of fear will go unheard As your soul feels the truth of the dark; Your pleas of mercy will fail you As you pay for your sins of the past. From there we sail upon my boat Over the Sea Of Ghosts; It is here you will fear the sounds that you hear And witness what happens to most. © Jon.London 2010 Copyscape Protected
