Maybe love isn't a word
Maybe it's an action
Could it be returned
Maybe just even a fraction?
Maybe if the whole world burned
And all the love and support I ever gave
Would it then at all be returned?
I've given my all
Got spat in my face
Am I getting left behind or
Am I just that easily replaced?
Constantly left wondering if love is a word or is possibly an action
If it did get returned
Would it be in full or simply a fraction?
I am tired of second best
I am tired of being depressed
Maybe, Maybe, Maybe
is all we're left wondering
Might possibly be the thing that drives us all crazy
Because I've given my all
