Wondering indefinitely
For that fatal maw
Upended meandering
A shining paw
Held up to the light
of a thousand leaves
dancing in the moonlight
hiding scores of thieves
Stealing my thoughts
before they begin
Sugar spun dizziness
of an arms-out spin
in joyful jumping
to our favourite tracks
I wish so much
that I could take it back
But forwards is the cliff
of the here and now
so stoically I plunge
raising half a brow
