“No child deserves to die like my daughter.” Wesam Hamada - Gaza The children who bled and died In a Minam school in Iran Were no kin to you or me And the bombs didn’t care. The dead in Israel and Gaza Fell to mortars that never checked for names. Missiles do not come with souls And neither weep nor make amends. Ukrainian skies ignite with Russian drones Screaming with homicidal infamy, Screaming glory only murderers can bless. Who will calculate the lost humanity? Lethal pride is a bountiful cache And death to other people’s children Seems such a paltry price to pay To save a falling despot’s rotting skin. No, my sisters, no, my brothers! The fallen ARE our kin - Our future medics, teachers, engineers - Life blood CANCELLED by the filth of war. Bitter old men with heated necks Send death to other people’s kids. Their bombs don’t care, Their missiles never weep.
